Professor Claudia Roda Engages on Questions of AI and Ethics Beyond the Classroom

Beyond the classroom, our faculty engage with organizations and other experts within and beyond their field to develop new thinking around questions like 'how we can ethically deploy artificial intelligence?'.
This semester is a particularly busy one for newly named UNESCO Chair of Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights and Program Director of the MSc in Human Rights and Data Science, Claudia Roda.
Here are some highlights:
- June 5, 2024: Roda will speak at the IAPP’s AI Governance Global on ‘Nations United? Global AI Governance Initiatives’.
- April 3, 2024: The paper Preparing for AI regulations: A quick look at available frameworks, by Claudia Roda, Antonio Kung, and Pagona Tsormpatzoudi, appeared in IAPP News.
- March 26, 2024: Roda spoke on Tackling bias and championing inclusion at Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Futures Conference, organized by Expertise France and the Agence française de développement (AFD) in Paris.
- January 30, 2024: Roda spoke on AI for Good: Fantasy or Reality? at the conference on Artificial intelligence, Regulation and Human Rights, organized by the Agence française de développement (AFD) in Paris. Watch the Conference video here.
