A Global Community
Our global alumni community stay connected through local events across the world. A newer addition to those traditions is Founding Week, AUP’s annual celebration of community members past and present who have made The American University of Paris what it is today. On March 27, 1962, AUP’s founder, Dr. Lloyd A. DeLamater, signed the original charter of the American College in Paris, thereby realizing his vision of an American international institution in the heart of the City of Light. Founding Week, which takes place around March each year, brings community members together in Paris and across the world to engage in conversations that continue our founder’s legacy.

Beyond the alumni community, our graduates often return to campus and connect with the next generation of AUP. Opportunities have include speaking at TEDxAUP; returning to lecture like creative producer Joe Lukawski; or offering their expertise as part of the Data Industry Practicum.
