Work Spaces
The Library offers quiet, modern work spaces (with 100 seats) to read, develop your thoughts, and work with others. Check out the fast facts here.
If your research requires further resources, the University also allows students to access the extensive library at Sciences Po (Paris) and to request interlibrary loans from almost any library in France, thanks to their participation in a vast consortium. Our library is a gateway to millions of resources from Paris’ many libraries.
Support from Library Staff
AUP librarians are there to assist you in navigating the breadth of resources contained in the Library and beyond. Librarians offer one-on-one in-person or virtual meetings to discuss your research topics, help you narrow down your search, choose the most pertinent resources and acquire them. You can also reach them by email or chat.
Has it been a while since you’ve written a paper? Do you need help understanding MLA format, how to cite a source, or figuring out where to start when it comes to a Master’s thesis? AUP librarians are also there for that.
The Academic Resource Center and the Writing Lab are also great resources for students looking for general academic support or help getting your ideas out on paper.
Online Collections
No matter where you may find yourself, on campus, at your new home in Paris, traveling, or on Practicum abroad, the Library and Library staff remain accessible.
With over 745,000 ebooks and 45,000 electronic research journals, our huge online collection connects you with the most recent and relevant scholarship in your field. You will also have access to free subscriptions to the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and to hundreds of academic databases such as JSTOR, Project MUSE and Sage Journals.
